Artist's Description

This is the tourism marker for the intersection of highways 49 and 61 a.k.a. the Crossroads. The Crossroads were made famous by the song Cross Road Blues; a Delta blues song written and recorded by Robert Johnson which became part of the mythology of the Faustian bargain made by Johnson in which he sold his soul to the Devil for his musical abilities. The song was later adapted by Eric Clapton and recorded as simply "Crossroads" with his band Cream.

About Lance Vaughn

Lance Vaughn

I am an artist and photographer out of Greater Memphis, TN. My paintings and digital art are inspired primarily by music and pop-culture. After some travelling across America and abroad, I discovered that I loved everything about photography. The subjects for my work include cityscapes, landscapes, architecture, seascapes, automobiles, and some macro photography. I also enjoy photo manipulation. The eclectic mix of styles and subjects of my images reflect my wide range of interests. My work was in the Love the Leaf exhibition at the prestigious Dixon Museum in Memphis, TN.
